POSITION: Thermal Refrigeration Quality Technician STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: The Refrigeration Quality Technician will help keep JTS production on schedule by helping to assemble and analyze the quality of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. This position will need to understand all phases of the production process and be able to assess the quality of the product throughout. The Refrigeration Quality Technician will work daily to ensure a quality product for our customers, work efficiently, document all processes and procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.

- Conduct product testing, including testing to support complaint investigations and stability verification.
- Conduct spot-checks inspections and audits of production operations.
- Generate product testing results reports and share them with necessary parties.
- Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Participate in the internal audit program and complete corrective action reports.
- Assist in writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as supporting the document control program and record retention areas as necessary.
- Provide root cause analysis from field feedback.
- Recommend design changes and product improvements based on field feedback.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes and use relevant machines and tools.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- 2 years' experience in the commercial or industrial refrigeration industry (preferred)
- Knowledgeable of refrigeration system flow and operation.
- Refrigeration handling certification (preferred) or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- Brazing experience (preferred)
- Must be able to work from 10' ladders.
- HVAC & R field service experience a plus.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Skilled at communication with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional and appropriate manner - you are dependable, productive, and pay attention to details.
- Ability to follow procedures and accurately document results.
- Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8 day.
- Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
