This is a remote/virtual position. Candidates located in Canada, the
United States, and India are preferred.

The Company and Project

We are a start-up based in Bangalore, India developing WaterMakers using Atmospheric Water Generation (AWG). Prana WaterMakers are meant for the Indian market initially and the plan is to expand to other markets worldwide where weather conditions are conducive to AWG. With the goal of "assuring families affordable drinking water independence," our Project includes a valuable social angle by helping families with a basic life necessity in places where clean water is in short supply. We work with our tech partners in Canada and USA in product design and development.

Progress and Present Status

We have successfully completed the "proof-of-concept" stage in product development with field testing of our breadboard units in actual-user conditions in India. With a 5,000 BTU rotary air compressor, we are able to achieve water yield levels that assure the product's viability.

Presently, we are preparing to make an initial batch of production prototypes of our Prana WaterMakers.The prototypes will be installed in homes and will be test-run for extended periods of time (8-12 weeks) to gain feedback on their functionality in meeting families' everyday potable water needs. With the feedback received, we plan to fine-tune our product, preparatory to commercial production and marketing.

HVAC Coil Design Specialist

We are looking for a HVAC consulting engineer with expertise in coil design to join our team to help with rightsizing the condenser and harvester coils for our product. The HVAC Specialist will be working with our Concept Designer in Canada, technician based in Washington DC and our partners in India. Much of the interaction will be through emails and online meetings. Travel will be required, as necessary, depending on the progress in product development.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial HVAC engineer with skills in coil design to join our team of professionals. The engagement can be on Project Contract, but we would welcome longer term relationship as a partner in the project. This can be valuable in developing newer models of Prana WaterMakers to address bigger markets - schools, colleges, hotels, malls, offices, etc. We are flexible on the terms of relationship and pride ourselves on the professionalism, integrity and vision that inform our socially valuable project.

Requirements

We are looking for a HVAC professional with appropriate undergraduate/graduate degrees and 5+ years' professional experience in HVAC product design.
