HVAC / PROPANE TECHNICIAN

Enjoy work life in a small company and community while living in an outdoor Mecca! Salmon River Propane has a position available for a HVAC / Propane Technician. This position will report to our office in Salmon, Idaho.

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidates would have technical skills as a HVAC and propane technician. HVAC or specialty journeyman preferred. Consideration will be given to all candidates demonstrating an ability and desire to learn the trade.
• Candidates seeking the upper end of the pay scale would have the ability to design and install propane systems and perform job estimates. Knowledge of codes and regulations is required.
• Must have or be able to obtain an Idaho Class A or B CDL with hazmat tanker endorsement. Preference given to candidates who already have these endorsements.
• Individuals must have excellent communications skills, be cordial, be courteous, professional, and motivated.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must pass a job-related pre-employment physical exam and drug screening test.

Duties:

• Install new propane tanks and systems for commercial and residential customers.
• Respond to service calls
• Trouble shoot gas appliances and systems
• Interact with customers and contractors to plan and schedule jobs
• Operate propane delivery truck, as required
